Tile Flooring Installation

  • Natural Stone: Marble, travertine, slate, and granite — properly sealed against South Shore winter salts.
  • Mosaic & Accent Work: Pencil rails, decorative borders, niche tile, and shower floor inlays.
  • Heated Floor Ready: Schluter Ditra-Heat or Suntouch electric mats installed under your tile floor.
  • Proper Substrate: Cement board, Ditra membrane, and crack-isolation membrane — no shortcuts.
  • Sealed Grout: Penetrating grout sealer applied so stains don't take hold in the first month.

Our Tile process

  1. Layout & Estimate: Peter measures, walks the layout with you, and writes a fixed quote including material allowance.
  2. Substrate Prep: Subfloor stiffened if needed, cement board or Ditra installed, joints taped and thinset-skim.
  3. Dry Layout: Tile dry-laid to find the visual center, balance cuts at walls, and confirm grout line alignment.
  4. Set & Level: Full-coverage thinset, leveling clips on large-format, laser-aligned seams throughout.
  5. Grout & Seal: Grout floated, joints tooled, surface wiped, then sealed once cured.

What tile is best for a South Shore bathroom?

Porcelain — non-porous, frost-resistant, and durable. Large-format porcelain planks are the most popular look in Weymouth and Hingham master bath remodels right now.

Can you install heated tile floors?

Yes — we install Schluter Ditra-Heat or Suntouch electric radiant systems under tile. Very popular for South Shore master baths and mudrooms.

Do you do shower tile too?

Yes — full shower surrounds, niches, benches, and shower floor pans. Schluter Kerdi or equivalent waterproofing every time.

How long does a typical bathroom tile install take?

5–7 days for a full bath: demo, substrate, layout, set, grout, and seal. We coordinate with your plumber on toilet and vanity reset.
