Our LVP process

  1. Estimate & Sample: Peter brings LVP samples to your home so you can see them in your actual light against your walls.
  2. Subfloor Prep: Old flooring removed, subfloor leveled and cleaned. Moisture testing for slab installs.
  3. Click-Lock Install: Planks installed with proper expansion gaps, staggered seams, and tight joints throughout.
  4. Transitions & Trim: Quarter-round, T-moldings, and reducers installed to match — no exposed edges.
  5. Walk-On Same Day: No finish to cure — move furniture back and use the room as soon as we leave.

Frequently asked questions

Is LVP really waterproof?

Rigid-core LVP is 100% waterproof — the plank itself won't swell or warp. Standing water can still get under the floor through expansion gaps, so it's not a substitute for a bath pan.

Can I install LVP over my existing tile or hardwood?

Usually yes — provided the existing floor is flat and structurally sound. We'll check during the estimate.

How long does LVP last?

10–25 years residential, depending on wear layer thickness and traffic. Premium 20-mil wear layers carry lifetime residential warranties.

Will LVP work in my Weymouth basement?

Yes — LVP is ideal for South Shore basements. Just make sure the slab is moisture-tested and we install with proper vapor barrier.
